Help & Guide

From blank page to a tailored, application-ready resume in about 10–15 minutes. Here's the whole flow — and if you're ever stuck, click Pip, the paper plane in the corner. ✈️

1. Fill in your information

Open "My Information" from the account menu — think of it as your career filing cabinet. Fill it three ways: upload an old resume and we read it in for you, chat through the career interview (it also learns how you naturally talk), or type things in directly. There are no length limits here — the more you add, the better everything you generate becomes.

2. Generate a tailored resume

Click "New Resume", pick a template, and paste in the whole job posting — every requirement, every buzzword. The AI reads what that employer wants and rewrites YOUR real experience to speak their language. It never invents jobs, skills, or numbers you don't have. Click any line afterward to edit it yourself.

3. Check the match score

Most companies run resumes through screening software (an "ATS") before a human reads them — if the software doesn't see the posting's words in your resume, a person may never see it. The score on the right shows how well you match this posting and which words are missing. Aim for 80+, and only add missing words where they're honestly true for you.

4. Log your Wins as they happen

A Win is proof of something you did well — a project landed, money saved, a problem nobody else could fix. Chat with the Win Coach for a minute and it becomes a polished, numbers-backed entry that feeds every future resume and performance report. Log them fresh; six months later they're gold you'd have forgotten.

5. Save, download, apply

Save the resume to your account and download it as a PDF (best for most applications), a Word file, or plain text for online forms. The PDF matches your on-screen preview page for page.

6. Track every application

Your Application Tracker keeps the whole hunt in one view — drag each application card across the columns as things happen: Applied, Interview, Offer. When you're juggling 20 applications, this is the difference between organized and lost.

Tell us what you think

Use the Feedback button in the bottom-right corner of any page. We most want to hear:

  • Anything that broke — blank sections, errors, buttons that did nothing.
  • Anything confusing — a step where you weren't sure what to do.
  • Did the resume actually sound like you? (Especially after the interview.)
  • Would you show this resume to a real employer? — the honest test.

Common questions

How do I generate a resume?

Go to New Resume and paste in the whole job posting — every requirement, every buzzword. The AI reads what that employer is asking for and rewrites YOUR saved experience to speak their language. It never invents jobs, skills, or numbers you don't have; it just presents what's true about you in the way this job wants to hear it.

Where does my data live?

My Information is your career filing cabinet: jobs, education, skills, and wins, stored once. Every resume, cover letter, and report is built from what's in there — so five minutes adding detail there improves everything you generate afterward. There are no length limits; more detail in means better resumes out.

What’s the ATS score?

Most companies run resumes through screening software (called an ATS — Applicant Tracking System) before a human ever reads them. If the software doesn't see the words from the job posting in your resume, a person may never see it at all. Your score shows how well your resume matches this posting — the words it's missing, whether your results include real numbers, and if the format scans cleanly. Aim for 80+, and add the missing words only where they're honestly true for you.

How do I track applications?

The Application Tracker gives your whole job hunt one view: drag each application card across the columns as things happen — Applied, Interview, Offer. It sounds simple, but when you're applying to 20 places it's the difference between organized and lost. Move a card the moment something changes and follow-ups get much easier.

What are Wins?

A Win is proof of something you did well — finished a tough project, saved money, trained someone, fixed what nobody else could. Chat with the Win Coach for a minute and it turns your story into a polished, numbers-backed entry you can drop into any resume. Log them as they happen; six months later, they're gold you'd otherwise have forgotten. The coach is part of the paid plans — the Pricing page shows what each plan includes.

What does the career interview do?

It's a friendly AI conversation that asks about your work history and fills in your profile from your answers — much easier than staring at empty forms. It also learns how YOU talk, so your resumes sound like you and not like a robot. Most people finish in about ten minutes. Interviews are part of the paid plans; on a free account you can still build your profile by typing or importing an old resume.

How do I add a bullet?

Under every job in the editor you'll find "+ Add bullet" to write your own line, and "✨ AI bullet" to get a suggestion built from what you've saved about that job. A quick tip: the strongest resumes are AI-drafted but human-finished — add the details only you know, like the numbers behind a result.

How do I download my resume?

Use the download button in the editor to get your resume as a PDF (best for most applications), a Word file (when an employer asks for .docx), or plain text (for pasting into forms). The PDF matches your on-screen preview page for page.

Can I import an old resume?

Yes — upload your old resume (PDF or Word) on My Information and we read it into your profile for you. You approve each piece before it saves, so nothing gets in that you didn't okay. It's the fastest way to get started if you already have a resume from years past.

What do plans cost?

The Pricing page always shows the current plans and exactly what each unlocks — how many tailored resumes you can generate, deeper resume checkups, voice features, and more. No hidden tiers, and the free account lets you build your profile before spending anything.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel anytime from your account's billing settings — a couple of clicks, no phone calls, no guilt trips. Your saved information stays in your account, so if you come back for your next job search, everything's where you left it.

Can I use my voice?

On the Premium plan you can just TALK instead of typing — tell the Win Coach what you did out loud, or answer interview questions by voice. We write down your exact words, because how you naturally describe your work is exactly what a resume should sound like.

Cover letters?

Yes — cover letters build from the same saved profile plus the job you're targeting, so they never contradict your resume. Generate one from the New Cover Letter page after your profile has some substance in it.

Is my data safe?

Your information is used for one thing: building YOUR documents. We never sell it, and it's never used to train AI models. You can export everything or delete your account (and all its data) anytime from account settings — no hoops.
